Encore or the Utopia of a State without
Censure
The
tape plays the music of Wagner's "Tristan e Isolda"
conducted by Daniel Barenboim
During the Israeli Festival 2002, was forbidden to play
Wagner in the official program.Barenboim decided to play
Wagner anyway during the encore, as a way of protest against
the censorship of the festival. Because of his action,
the Commission of Education of the Israeli Parliament,
declared Barenmboim "Persona Cultural Non Gratta".
